Everyone has a hero. Four-year-old Zoey's hero is a man who saved her from a knife-wielding madman when she was only two years old.
Midwest City, OK police officer David Huff sat through a 30-minute-long standoff, where he eventually had to take the life of the four-year-old's kidnapper. The kidnapper had taken the girl away from her mother in the middle of a grocery store and had a knife to her throat and was threatening to kill her. Eventually, after the kidnapper had his demands rejected, he gave poor little Zoey 60 seconds to live and started counting the seconds down. Once he got to five, Huff took one large step towards the man and put his gun to the man’s head and pulled the trigger. This incredibly difficult, split-second decision, saved Zoey's life.
