If you prefer to mow your lawn on Sunday's and live in Quebec, you should know that you may be breaking a new noise complaint bylaw. Kevin Beasse mowed his lawn on a Sunday and received a $270 ticket the following week. Outraged, he attempted to fight it and said some choice words that netted him another $148 on top of that.
The city claims that they have given enough notice of the new law that a warning would not be appropriate and that his fine will stand. Kevin now faces over $400 in fines stemming from trimming the grass in front of his house on the wrong day of the week. Ridiculous.
