This high school in Long Island gave their girls' cross country team a questionable new uniform and it has parents concerned.
One mom was so outraged to see her 14-year-old daughter and her cross country team wearing compression, brief-style bottoms, like the ones seen worn by professional runners.
The "Hind Hugger" has caused controversy among parents and even the girls on the team.
"I believe that the line should be drawn at the butt cheek and should go no further up," said one mother who has started a petition to "ban the briefs."
This isn't just the parents being overprotective, though, as one runner on the team said they should be given a choice to wear the briefs or not. However, the girls are given the choice to wear either a brief or a more square, shorts option.
Typically, professional runners wear these because less clothing means more speed. While some people around the community understand that but some parents feel the tight briefs are subjecting their girls to something more than just a leg up in the sport.
The only thing we're left wondering is, how the guys would look in some Hind Huggers?
