Wayne Winters, A 74-year-old man in Utah, has been walking up and down the roads near his house holding signs to find a kidney donor for his wife and others.
Winters would wear a sign across his chest that read "Need Kidney 4 Wife" with his phone number on the bottom and also one on the back that told people just how many kidneys were needed in Utah and Idaho alone and how to contact about it.
His story was picked up by the local news and soon went viral. Winter was then bombarded with thousands of messages from people wanting to help.
Eventually they received a call that a kidney donor had passed away and their kidney would go to Winter's wife.
The Winters are so happy and thankful they want to keep the kidney momentum moving as Wayne says he will continue to walk with his sign to raise people's awareness of the need.
“Think about it we could start a kidney revolution, and that would be so great,” he said.
There are still amazingly caring and dedicated people out there and that gives us hope.
