On Sunday, New England Patriots beat the San Francisco 49ers 30-17. 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, but took one pretty brutal shot during the game. And that shot didn't come from the Patriots defensive line, either. It came from an announcer.
The NFL RedZone's Scott Hanson, while commentating on a play where Kaepernick scrambled out of the pocket for a first down, noted his speed. He said that Kaepernick was "not weighed down by an 'I Voted' sticker," a reference to the story that broke last week where it was revealed that the quarterback had not voted in the Presidential election, despite being very involved in social issues and protests throughout the first half of the NFL season.
Sick burn, bro!
