Homeowners in Mount Dora, Florida are being fined $100 a day until the Vincent Van Gogh-inspired paint job is removed from their house. Originally, the fine was to be capped at 31 days, but a magistrate recently lifted the cap, meaning that the homeowners are now on the hook for an additional $8,000 in fines.
Officials say that the Starry Night-themed, full-house mural violates the city's sign ordinance and that until the house is repainted, the homeowners have to pay up.
Would you be OK with your neighbors painting their house to look like this?
