Brett Favre Says He Will Not Encourage His Grandchildren To Play Football (Video)
Posted by Steve on February 20 2018
In a recent interview with CNN’s Christian Amanpour and Dr. Bennet Omalu, the doctor who discovered what we now know as CTE, retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre revealed that despite his notorious toughness on the field throughout his career, he is now scared for his future. Favre said that he worries that any day now, he's going to forget who he is, based on all of the head injuries he suffered during his career.

Favre said that as recently as a few years ago, he thought that he had only suffered two or three concussions during his career. But now with Dr. Omalu's research, we now know that the definition of a concussion is much different than what we once thought. Favre said that he now believes that he may have suffered hundreds or THOUSANDS of concussions during his career.

Favre also went on to say that he will not encourage his grandchildren to play football, because he would just cringe ever time they were hit on the field. When asked about how to make the game of football safer, Favre's answer was simple: "You don't play."
