Every summer it seems people are hearing about cicadas for the the first time all over again and our newsfeeds are flooded with the creepy critters.
This sheriff’s office in South Carolina is dealing with people who apparently have never heard a cicada as the 911 operators have been inundated with noise complaints citing a “weird roaring sound.”
That sound, you guessed it, is simply the cicadas. Now the sheriff’s office is asking folks to stop calling.
