TikToker Erika Tham was with one of her guy friends recently when she was talking about another phenomenon in relationships called “Love Bombing.”
Her friend then told her about something called the “Penny Method” in which men (in this situation), really get the “boy math” gears turning to be able to eventually put as little effort into a relationship as possible.
Basically it’s about “imagin[ing] your girl as a piggy bank” and dropping your effort by 10% and then raising it back up by 5% over time until you’re putting in very little effort into your relationship. The way Tham described it, you end up giving pennies but she thinks she’s getting nickels.
