It’s hard to imagine a time when it would actually be weird to use a card at a fast food establishment but, it turns out, it was not that long ago.

Nowadays, if you go somewhere like Burger King, you definitely have more ways to pay than you did even 20 years ago, which is exactly how long ago they implemented the tech to start accepting credit cards. Boy, what a shock that was.

Turns out, back in 1993, people scoffed at the idea of not having cash on you to pay for your Whopper, some even worried it would hold up the lines. Now, if you try to pay with cash you’re met with eyes rolling all around.

Oh, how times have changed.
