In any sport, there are coaches that are a little intense and have some strange methods to either intimidate or get to know their players, but if this were true, it’d be among the most out-of-pocket things we’ve ever heard a coach doing.
Recently, Barstool Sports’ hockey podcast, “Spittin’ Chiclets” discussed alleged rumors of Mike Babcock, new head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, taking players’ phones to view photos to “see the type of person [they] are” with the main example being from a meeting between the coach and team captain, Boone Jenner.
Mike Babcock has allegedly been asking various Blue Jackets to see their phones then AirPlaying their photos on his office TV.

Now, the Blue Jackets have denied the allegations, Jenner and Babcock have released statements but Barstool employees are not backing down, claiming the story has been confirmed by several players.
We’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out…
Tell Babs to knock off the bullshit. Enough with putting guys on the spot in the coaches room asking them to link their phones up to airplay mode and grilling them. I’ve had tons of players confirm it. Smarten the fuck up Babs. Shove your statement up his ass. https://t.co/iYaAvORBb7
