It’s not uncommon for your local home baseball team to have some fun gimmick to get fans in the stands on a given night, but 49 years ago was one idea that could never happen again.

We’re talking about the iconic 10-cent beer night at the, then, Cleveland Indians’ Municipal Stadium in 1979.

With tickets only being a dollar (or less) and beers for only a dime, less fans were there for the game , more were there for the beer and, unsurprisingly, all hell broke loose in one of the most iconic, chaotic nights in sports history.
