In today’s edition of “concerning things that can happen with A.I.”, scammers were able to almost have this Arizona mother fully convinced her daughter had been kidnapped.
Using a cloning program, the scammers were able to replicate the teen’s voice to make a phony phone call claiming she was kidnapped, in an attempt to get ransom money.
The call was not only terrifying, but convincing enough, until they realized her daughter was, in fact, safe in her bedroom at home.
