A pilot from another airline who was off-duty and hitching a ride home helped land a Southwest Airlines flight that left from Las Vegas after its captain became sick and needed medical attention.
The original captain had stomach pains and became incapacitated, meaning the First Officer had to take over and luckily, the non-Southwest pilot who took over radio communications, just happened to be on board.
Passengers didn’t even know something happened to their captain until the plane landed. Good work on everyone involved!
