As we come upon the one-year anniversary of “the slap heard around the world” at the 2022 Oscars between Chris Rock and Will Smith, Rock has released his latest Netflix special where he finally goes in-depth about the situation.
In the special, titled “Selective Outrage”, Rock addresses the slap in true tongue-in-cheek fashion, saying things from “You know what happened to me, gettin’ smacked by Suge Smith” to “You know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people,” in response to why he didn’t do anything back.
While we are a week away from this year’s Oscars, we hopefully can finally get some new drama to go on about for another year.
