Sacha Baron Cohen recently gave a pretty deep speech at the ADL’s International Leadership Awards where he was also presented with an award.
Yes, you read that right and he even acknowledges how crazy his presence there may seem.
He outlines the civil rights work he did before his career and even spoke about how the jokes made in his movies like Borat and Bruno were ones that highlighted the prejudices of others, not his own.
Baron Cohen then took on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms for not doing enough to combat the spread of, quote, “hate, conspiracies, and lies.”
He called, them, quote, “the greatest propaganda machine in history” and shared how it can be used to divide te world.
Just goes to show, you may think you know people but until you realize what they know and their true intentions, they might be just accepting a major international award and keeping the world #WOKE.
Actor @SachaBaronCohen reflects on his work in exposing bigotry and prejudice. Thank you for your vision, your creativity, and commitment to making our world a better place. Full speech here: https://t.co/m3mVgPm84t #NeverIsNow pic.twitter.com/h8ckdVCVAE
