Mets fans know the struggle lately, the organization is in a pretty rough downward spiral so to lift spirits and remind fans of when the team was actually winning.
They recently did a “we remember segment” for the anniversary of the 1969 World Series win but featured two still-living former players Jim Gosger and Jessie Hudson.
The organization reached out to both former players to apologize and it seems they both didn’t take the flub all-too seriously, Gosger even took to Facebook to (sarcastically) thank them for getting him up on the “big board.”
