Apparently this is becoming more common among high schools where they are doing away with valedictorian and salutatorian titles at graduation!
Titles that have been around for people graduating from one of the most basic achievements in life they now say encourages unhealthy competition…
Now cue all those who will say something about the “participation trophy” generation.
For this Ohio high school, a student is actually behind it, saying high school should be fun, and getting a B on your final is okay.
The principal agrees too, saying education is not just about the grade, it’s about the whole child…so there you have it folks, flunk all your classes because it doesn’t matter anyways! Grab your lollipops and just hang out because education is just supposed to be fun!
