It’s not every day a bear wanders into a city but when it happens in our home city of Grand Rapids, it’s a big deal!
This poor bear just happened to wander into a residential neighborhood in town so the DNR came out ready to go with the smallest mat possible for it to land on and some tranquilizer darts!
They were able to get the bear down after hitting it with a dart, except the bear missed the mat and landed right on the grass from about 25 feet up!
Now we are not sure if we believe them when they say the bear is totally fine and was when they released it back into the wild but, hey, the bear hopefully is safe and sound back where it belongs!
