A guy in Durham, North Carolina drives about 60,000 miles a year which we’d assume would amount to a new car every other year or so but he’s had the same one for 19 years!
Dexter Mills and his 2000 Honda Accord have recently celebrated a true “mileage milestone” when it hit the one million mile mark!
Mills says he snapped a picture at 999,999 miles and waited for the odometer to read 1,000,000 but it just stopped so he’s decided it is probably time to retire ol’ reliable.
He’s replaced the engine a few times, but says the real secret to a car’s long life is regular oil changes, new oil filters, and he’s not aggressive when he drives…
