Over the weekend, the Georgia Tech football team faced tragedy as senior DT, Brandon Adams passed away.
Adams, 21, collapsed on campus and unfortunately lost his life later at the hospital.
There has been an outpouring of support from past and present teammates on Twitter, as well as the Georgia Tech Football Account who posted a beautiful video tribute.
With a lot of love for Adams, this tweet from Georgia Tech coach Brent Key seems extremely tone-deaf.
“GT has always, and will continue to attract GREAT MEN,” he said. “Today we lost a GREAT MAN and gained another GREAT MAN! Even in dark days the future is bright.”
In the same tweet honoring a fallen player, not only is he still talking football but he is also referring to GT committing a 4-star recruit CB recruit.
See the whole story here.
He was a big man with a big heart who brought joy to all of us. We’ll miss that smile, Brandon.
Rest in peace. pic.twitter.com/6dLLzgqWNj
