Craft beer combined with film? Sounds like a Hipster’s dream!
That’s exactly what Dogfish Head brewery set out to do after CEO and founder, Sam Calagione found out if a beer’s pH is low enough, it can be used to develop film.
This new Fruity, Gose-type beer, called SuperEIGHT, features eight ingredients including pricky pear, boysenberry, elderberry and toasted quinoa.
The beer, according to a press release from KODAK and Dogfish Head, will work on KODAK Super-8 Tri-x film, but none others are listed!
Here is a promotional film shot on KODAK film and processed with SuperEIGHT that will be available to the public in April.
