It was national news when the attack allegedly happened and now it is even bigger news after it was discovered it was basically a publicity stunt!
Recently Empire actor, Jussie Smollett was allegedly attacked in what was originally deemed a hate crime, it garnered attention from everywhere until the news broke Smollett actually orchestrated the whole thing because he was unhappy with his salary.
Smollett turned himself in to Chicago police, was released on $100,000 bond but still somehow maintains he did not do it.
Yesterday, February 21st, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson did a press conference to share how Smollett’s actions went down and also how it has negatively affected the Chicago Police Department.
