In regards to the hate mail portion of the site...
Michael S.
Hey guys,
I know I'm putting myself out there for ridicule and mockery, but I feel I have a valid point to share with you. Whether you even read this is or even care is up in the air, but I have to at least try. I was reading the "Hate Mail" portion... continue reading of your site and I do see a lot of other valid points, but I think they're taken a little out of context and some people are being a little sensitive. What you guys do, no offense, doesn't take a lot of skill, knowledge, or effort and I have to say it does show. I know the whole "idea" of the show is to have a group of "average joes" talking about current events and everyday experiences; I get that and obviously it works because you're still on the air. However there is a line where a joke goes too far and does, actually, become offensive. I have to say Free Beer is my favorite of the bunch because he seems to be the one who cares more about the people in the events that you talk about or is the one to say that something Hot Wings says could be offensive. He seems to be the most genuine, as far as the show goes, and the one I can relate with more. The rest of the guys I couldn't care less about. Zane and Hot Wings sound almost identical and it's hard to know who's speaking. In my opinion, as I'm sure you care about it, Zane should go. He offers almost nothing to the show that Hot Wings doesn't already add, plus it would be one less salary to cover for the network. Seems like a win-win for everyone. Plus he looks like a tool. You guys make him sound like a big muscular guy with his P90X poison and he's just a scrawny little shit. I bet it would only take three 5 year-olds to beat him up as opposed to him killing 100 of them at once. The whole premise of the show is to take quick jabs at people's circumstances and make fun of them, and to a point its enjoyable, but like I said I find this show crossing the line often. You can poke fun at people but saying " F this and F that" is for 14 year-olds, not 40 year-olds. You guys know better than that. I am half your age and I seem to be far more mature than you. But once again, I'm sure you're just selling yourself and acting like this so people will listen. That's almost like what a prostitute does if I'm not mistaken. And don't try making jokes about me that I'm a virgin and a dumb loser. Because I'm not any of those things. I guarantee I make more money than any of you and I don?t sell myself short to do it and I am in a very stable, healthy and loving relationship with a loving woman. If you can go home, and I mean all of you including that dweeb Joe, and look at yourself in the mirror and not regret or feel remorseful that you're selling yourself and putting others down to get a buck then God bless. But don't think that your listeners are ALL laughing at your mean spirited jokes because some of us are shaking our heads in disgust and some of us are seeing the shallow and self-conscious people you really are. Sometime down the road in your lives you will have hardship, whether your children get sick or your parents pass away or you, yourself, become sick or have something happen to you and I want you to remember all of the hurtful things you have said because those hard times are coming, faster than you think and I hope it hits you hard and knock you on your asses. I don?t wish ill upon anyone like some of the other "Hate Mailers", nor will I use incorrect grammar and spelling like a lot of the bumpkins who write to this show, but I do hope you realize that a lot of what you say is hurtful and try to make the world a bit better rather than spreading anger and frustration; there's enough of that already without you. I hope someone reading this takes even just a piece of what I'm trying to say. Life is too short for being angry and mean.
Michael S. Portland, ME
