- Description. The CAT® Footwear Stockcar Math Contest (the "Contest") begins October 31, 2011, and ends November 23, 2011 (the "Promotion Period"). By participating in the Contest, entrants accept and agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
- Eligibility. The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 21 years old at the time of participation. Employees (and their immediate family members) of Sponsor, the "Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show" (the "Show"), Compass Media Networks LLC, and all other companies associated with the Contest are ineligible to participate in the Contest. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations apply.
- To Enter. No Purchase Necessary. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Each weekday during the Promotion Period, a a pre-determined, stock car-themed sound effect will be played on the show. The thirty-first (31) caller to call the Show during the call-in period will receive one (1) entry into the Contest. Limit one entry per person. Limit one entry per household.
- Winner Selection. On or about November 23, 2011, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing to select three (3) contestants from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Contestants will be read a stock car-related math question read during the show. The first person who answers the math question correctly will be the winner for the Promotion. Odds of winning are 1:47. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail. The Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected if any prize notification is returned to Sponsor as undeliverable, if the selected entrant does not meet eligibility criteria, or if the selected entrant does not fully comply with these rules.
- Prize. Grand Prize: A trip for two (2) adults to the 2012 race in Daytona, Florida scheduled for February 26, 2012 (the "Race"). Trip package includes roundtrip airfare for two (2) from a major airport near the winner's home to Orlando, Florida or Daytona, Florida; three (3) nights accommodations at a hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida; ground transportation from the Orlando or Daytona airport to the hotel; ground transportation to the Race on raceday; two (2) infield tickets to the Race; and watching the Race from Sponsor's infield RV. Approximate retail value: $3,000.
Trip must be booked at least twenty-one (21) days prior to departure, and is subject to availability and blackout dates. Sponsor will determine airline and flight itineraries in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel companion must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. If in the judgment of Sponsor air travel is not required due to winner's proximity to prize location, ground transportation will be substituted for roundtrip air travel at Sponsor's sole discretion.
The Grand Prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be substituted, except that the Sponsor in its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All taxes and other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- General. Acceptance of the Grand Prize shall constitute the winner's consent to the use of their name and/or likeness for advertising without additional compensation, where not prohibited by law. Winner and travel companion will be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release before being awarded the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (a) illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, stolen, late, or lost entries; (b) network, internet or telephone malfunctions or damage related to or resulting from participating in the Contest; or (c) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest. Any entrant attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsor at is sole discretion reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest.
- Winners. The identity of the Grand Prize Winner may be requested by Sponsor a self-addressed, stamped envelope, attn: CAT® Footwear Stockcar Math Contest, no later than December 31, 2011.
- Sponsor/Administrator. The Sponsor of the Contest is CAT® Footwear, a division of Wolverine World Wide, Inc., 9341 Courtland Drive NE, Rockford, Michigan 49351 ("Sponsor").
