Ideas are one thing, but execution is where it counts
So Hot Wings, Zane, and I were sitting in the office one day when the conversation came up about sending Joe to California for the Lindsay Lohan fiasco. We all liked the idea. Then it started to grow, slowly but surely morphing into an eight day journey for Joe and eventually Bishop that played out for all of us to enjoy. I say this as humbly as possible, but it was a good idea.

That said, we all have a lot of ideas. Some are good. Some are great. Some are stupid. Ultimately, though what makes this good idea something that ended up being something great and special, is the execution. And in this case, all the credit goes to our own Producer Joe, and to Bishop for making sure we could all see it and enjoy it.

So that said, I just wanted a public thanks. A round of applause. And pats on the back. Steve worked about 31 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. And Joe and Bishop have been "working" in one way or another for the better part of 9 days. Thanks fellas. We all enjoyed the ride. And we got to do it with air conditioning.

Before and After
Before and After
I assumed in my life that the only way I'd ever take "Before and After" photos would be the result of some sort of industrial accident or poorly inspired hair cut.

During vacation however, I took my after photo for p90x. You probably heard us talk about it. Zane did it first. He is ripped now. He had muscle before, and now is ripped even more. (Is it gay to say that? I don't think so.)

I had more fat, and no muscle underneath it. I had never lifted a weight in my life. Hadn't done sit ups in years. I stayed in okay aerobic shape, playing basketball and other sports, and working out cardio regularly. But I wasn't in good shape. Certainly not fit.

I started in March at about 195. This morning I weighed 171. That's less than what I weighed in college. I say this not as an endorsement, though I would if they asked me to. It was difficult to start it and a lot of work. But its the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Anyway, back to the photos. Taking the "before" pictures was one of the most humiliating moments of my life. And only my wife has seen them. Taking the after was still rough. But a hell of a lot better.

Will you ever see them? Maybe. I'm just happy I can mow the lawn with my shirt off now.
