I am a "security guard" as well and enjoy it... I don't want to be a police officer nor do a have loftier goals. There is really something about waking up and not hating your job.
As for being made fun of... Who cares?
In fact, when I get poked at, I join in... Who knows more rent-a-cop jokes than a guy who made it his career?
I do get pi55ed though on the trivia days when some jackass says he's a security guy, and loses to Zane. I mean damn, Zane really? How do you lose to Zane..? If I can learn how to dial my phone someday Imma gonna call.

P.S. Did security for a couple of years while recovering from surgeries. It sucked. Except towing vehicles of yuppy L.L. Bean shoppers who park in someone's assigned spot for work causing them to be late; and then being told I was in the wrong for towing their Volvo on Christmas Eve morning. Not my fault people are ignorant and can't read the 3 posted signs.

Man, you guys slayed me on the air today. To show no hard feelings I bought a VIP pass. Make fun of guards all you want (most of us deserve it). Just try not to make a blanket statement about hating all of us. Our job kinda sucks enough already.
