Man, what is it lately with people and trash!? First, there's the piles of trash lining New York City
. Then, Pasco county had to clean up an entire street
of trash mattresses. Now, a string of dumpster fires in the Seattle area has officials baffled and residents worried!
Multiple fires next to residential and commercial buildings and a solid portion of the most recent ones have happened within blocks of a fire station!
It is suspected that the charred sides of buildings and melted dumpster lids are being left behind by arsonists trying to send a message.
Dr. Thomas Smith, who doesn't strike us as a real
doctor wonders if they are doing it to say, "We're going to make a scene, or we don't have a place to be, here deal with this. Probably vindictive in some sense.”
The Seattle fire department has created an interactive map for people to use to track past and recent fires, so we guess catching the arsonist(s) is now some sort of game!
