It's been a crazy day for things space related. This morning, we watched video of a
huge meteor crashing to earth in Russia. Now, in about an hour, Asteroid DA14 will be passing extremely close to earth. Now don't be scared. "Extremely close" is a relative term and when it relates to our solar system, it's measured in the hundreds of miles. We're not in danger of an Armageddon-like collision or anything. This asteroid, however, will be close enough to pass inside the ring of geosynchronous weather and communications satellites.
Since we live in the future, NASA has set up a live stream that will follow the asteroid as it passes by earth. This isn't something you see every day, so you may wanna click the play button below to watch it for a few minutes. You won't be able to miss it. It'll be the only thing moving in the shot.
