The big (weird) story yesterday was "man in tree," the man in Seattle who, for reasons unknown, climbed an 80-foot-tall Sequoia tree in downtown Seattle and just hung out there for more than 24 hours. Police and firefighters were called in and were successfully able to coax the man down, but not before he spent the day throwing pinecones and branches on people attempting to help him. News helicopters were even on the scene the entire time, catching glimpses of the man's every movement.
He finally surrendered and climbed down, where he was given a little bit of food and then taken to the hospital for a medical (and mental) evaluation. Thanks for the memories, man in tree!
