History was made recently in North Korea as mobile operator Koryolink turned on their data service for the first time. That now opens the country to the world of social media...except for the fact that the people that live there aren't allowed to use it (and most likely know nothing about it).

head of the Associated Press bureau in Korea, shows "a sign welcoming nuclear test scientists". Right.
Now that's most likely one of the many Instagram filters that is applied to the photo, but it also wouldn't be surprising if that's just what North Korea really looks like. Gloomy and sad.
