This sausage swiper's heist turned into a bigger adventure than he probably anticipated. The man just wanted to snag some summer sausage!
David Bertram was arrested after leading police on a chase through a neighborhood, across a highway and over a bridge. While Bertram was being escorted from the Publix grocery store, he fled the scene and ran until he came to a bridge and jumped, falling about seven to eight feet.
Eventually, you could say Bertram's sausage was cooked when police caught up with him and tazed him twice. Bertram was arrested after giving police a fake name and was charged for that, shoplifting and resisting an officer.
