Jim Cooley is obviously a strong proponent of the Second Amendment. When dropping his daughter off at the airport in Atlanta recently, Jim got out of the car and went into the terminal with his AR-15 rifle hanging over his shoulder. The gun was loaded with a 100-round drum at the time. This obviously caused some concern in the airport, but Cooley did not break any state or federal laws in doing so. After being approached by several different officers and members of security at the airport, he was then followed to his car where officers took pictures of his vehicle as he drove away. If Cooley had passed through to the TSA screening area, however, there would have been a problem, as that would have been in violation of federal law.
