When a fan runs on to the field during a sporting event, the TV cameras rarely follow the action. This is because they don't want it shown on TV, where it may inspire other idiots to do the same thing. But since we're living in an age when everyone in the stands essentially has a TV camera in their pocket, the video still makes it out into the world anyway!
During Friday night's Giants/Dodgers game in San Francisco, a fan ran on to the field and made his way out to left-center field, where he was greeted by the Giants' Angel Pagan. Pagan appeared to lure the fan in close, extending his hand to take whatever he was offering up. And that's when Pagan struck, grabbing the fan around the waist and bodyslamming him to the ground to the cheers of the thousands in attendance.
And while the video didn't end up on TV, that doesn't mean that legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully didn't call the action as it happened! Check out various clips of the bodyslamming, as well as Scully's play-by-play below!
