Game one of the World Series is in the books, with the Dodgers leading the Astros 1-0. The Dodgers started off the game strong, with lead-off batter Chris Taylor smoking a ball over the left field fence on the first pitch delivered by the Astros! This was only the 23rd time in World Series history that a team led off with a home run.
Along with Taylor's heroics, Justin Turner's impressive post-season for the Dodgers continued with his two-run homer in the sixth, his fourth of the post season.
Also, last night was the hottest World Series game ever, with the mercury hitting 103 degrees when the game began in Los Angeles. Luckily, no one had to suffer that long, as it was also the shortest World Series game since 1994, clocking in at just 2 hours and 28 minutes.
Game 2 of the World Series goes down tonight at 8PM Eastern on Fox.
